Nalin Ratnayake currently lives in Lancaster, California. In his words:
I enjoy writing, history, theatre, hiking, and photography. Growing up in the northwest, I developed a liking for cooler, wetter weather and morning fog. Yet, in an absurd twist of fate, I ended up going to school in Arizona and starting a career in Southern California. The desert and the southland have grown on me though, and I now love the southwest culture and climate.
When I’m not otherwise occupied, you can find me exploring LA and its surrounding cities and neighborhoods, hiking in the amazing variety of terrain within an hour radius of my house, and dabbling in amateur photography and photojournalism whenever I can. I am also heavily involved in theatre – as a producer, director, actor, writer, and avid audience member.

Hilary Gan writes her columns from Mesa, Arizona. In her words:
A step-by-step guide to winning my heart:
1. Be absolutely brilliant at something. I’m not totally picky about what that something is, but let’s just say x= WOW doesn’t qualify.
2. Dedicate your entire life to said pursuit.
3. Self-medicate as a remedy for the aloneness caused by your brilliance and the sad, incontrovertible knowledge that you will never fully perfect your art
4. Maintain a five o’clock shadow
5. Carry a cane with a flame decal
6. Drive a motorcycle
7. Somehow manage to offset telling horrible truths directly to people’s faces by being sidesplittingly funny
8. Be okay with the fact that I will only ever be capable of loving fictional characters

Ryan Johnson whiles away the time in Pullman, Washington. In his words:
Actually just kidding. He has nothing to say, because he hasn’t submitted a blurb yet. What a lazy bastard. If you know him, please give him a hard time until he does.
